Case Study: Pacific Rim Energy Fund
The Challenge
In 2006, Rockefeller Financial launched an energy-focused fund with a large financial-services firm in Japan. The firm was looking to partner with Rockefeller Financial because of our investment capabilities and expertise in the energy sector. The co-branded fund is sub-advised by Rockefeller Financial and marketed in Japan through the local firm's distribution network. A 10-day subscription period was established, but the offering was sold out within hours and the subsequent investment performance has led to future sub-advisory opportunities.
