In a recent article published in The Journal of Taxation of Investments entitled “Capital Gains Harvesting With Changing Tax Rates: An Update”, Matthew Gelfand, Rockefeller Financial’s Senior Economist and a Senior Investment Advisor reviews the quantitative conditions investors and their advisors should consider in deciding whether to realize capital gains at current tax rates in 2012 or after tax rates increase as is expected in future years.
